At this year’s InstallerSHOW, BEAMA will be on hand on stand 4K18 to bust the myths around underfloor heating with the help of its members. Under the umbrella of “Comfort in every step – underfloor heating, the low temperature solution for every application”, they will be showcasing how accessible UFH is for any project, demonstrating how UFH can future-proof properties, and detailing how this low-temperature heat emitter helps to comply with current and upcoming Building Regulations.
Underfloor Heating is the ideal solution to meet the new regs stipulating that flow temperatures cannot exceed 50°C. BEAMA Underfloor Heating Group members will explain why this well-established technology has always been a low-temperature solution. As the heated surface area is much greater than that of radiators, UFH is around 25% more efficient than a traditional radiator and boiler system and up to 40% more efficient if used in conjunction with a heat pump.
Visitors can access expert recommendations about system specification, and compatibility with both different floor constructions – from concrete and screeded to floating and suspended – and floor coverings, including carpet.
Whether installing in a new build or extension, or retrofitting into a contemporary or period property, there is a UFH system to suit every application and site requirement.
BEAMA is the UK’s national trade association for underfloor heating. Alongside its members, BEAMA provides resources and information for installers, specifiers and homeowners to make appropriate decisions when choosing the right underfloor heating system for their project and inform and educate the industry about sustainable heating solutions.
