UK Implementation of LVD

We understand, UK Regs transposing the revised LVD into national law have now been laid before Parliament, and provided no objections are forthcoming, the new LVD's requirements will come into UK law by the end of December. The 9 month delay effectively gave members an unofficially extended transition period for their production processes to catch up with the product marking and DoC changes required, already national law elsewhere in the EU. We understand the EMCD transposition is progressing similarly. Objections from Parliament, in the current climate, cannot be entirely ruled out, but further delay looks unlikely.
