Strengthening the EU Single Market: EU Institutions draw up plans for 2017

Malta, the smallest EU member State will be taking the lead as of January 2017. The commission has also published its Work Programme for 2017 - Delivering a Europe that protects, empowers and defends. Priority 4 concerns - A Deeper and Fairer Internal Market with a Strengthened Industrial Base.
Meanwhile, the Presidents of the Three European institutions published a Joint Declaration with a list of 2017 EU Legislative priorities. Most important for us - the Digital Single Market Package – with the reform of Telecoms and the proposal on the use of 700 MHz band for mobile services and the Capital Markets Union package - with standardisation on trading.
