Standardisation delays discussed at Commission Experts Group of 15 May

During the meeting the delays in the standardisation process were discussed, the Commission yet again referenced the Communication on Harmonised standards of November 2018 to support the legalistic scrutiny process, while the CENELEC representative openly called for improvements to the process and reported that many manufacturers are now using IC standards. Participants also discussed the ATEX guidelines, interfaces between the ATEX and Machinery Directives and contradictions between the Guidelines of the two directives.
