RRegulation EU 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products published

Regulation EU 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products was published in the EU official Journal on the 25th June. The regulation will enter into force on 16 July and its provision apply as from the 16 July 2021. The Commission has started working with the Member States on the preparation of application guidelines. A detailed analysis of the key points of this legislation which replaces in part Regulation (EC) 765/2008 on market surveillance aspects and adds some requirements on economic operators involved in importing technical products under Union harmonisation legislation will follow.
