For information - Draft IR ecodesign requirements for displays

The draft regulation lays down requirements on energy efficiency of displays and also resource efficiency-related aspects, including design to enhance extraction of key components, marking of plastics, recycling, etc. Requirements on design for dismantling, re-use, recycling and recovery (prohibition of certain welding and gluing for several components) are proposed. The EC has already notified both documents to the WTO (World Trade Organisation). The notification period will end on February 20th. The Regulatory Committee will then vote on the measures.
