EMCD Standardisation

CENELEC BT Working Group 154-1 on EMCD Standardisation has been created to demonstrate why the so-called 80/80 statistical rule, which ensures that 80% of appliances in production are in compliance, with a confidence level of 80%, with the EMCD requirements, is beneficial for manufacturers and market surveillance authorities. The EC is opposed to the 80/80 rule and as such the WG is developing a position paper on the issue. More in this report of the first meeting of the WG.
