revised Primary Energy Factor (PEF)

The EU Parliament recently agreed on a revised Primary Energy Factor of 2.3. This is down from the existing value of 2.5 in the current Energy Efficiency Directive, but conflicts with the Commission and Council's proposal to reduce this to 2. BEAMA have met with BEIS and written the below letter to ensure UK national support in council when this gets to trilogue.
BEIS are fully supportive of the UK position to reduce the PEF to 2, and will use the BEAMA letter. Furthermore we are gaining additional support from other national trade bodies through our EU associations.
