Prysmian Group is made up of the Draka and Prysmian brands - over 100 years of manufacturing in the UK. More recently, Prysmian Group has acquired General Cable Corporation of America and are now included as part of our Group. In the UK we have more than 1100 employees which includes graduates, students, apprentices, engineering, production and administration staff - to name a few. Our Engineers are on many industry technical committees using their expertise to improve standards, develop fire strategy procedures and produce safer, more robust products and safer buildings. At Bishopstoke we have a world leading modern test facility that is a centre of excellence within the Prysmian Group world-wide and we support many of our international affiliates in developing materials and products for their own markets and customers. It is necessary for Prysmian to work collaboratively with industry to develop these standards, procedures and products to ensure a safer world for us all.
